Q: How far in advance do you usually starting booking couples?

Most couples book 12 to 18 months ahead of their wedding date.

Q: How can we figure out how many hours we need?

We can help you figure this out. It really depends on a multitude of factors: how many shooting locations, travel times, time of the year,  size of the wedding party, and more. We typically arrive when the bride is putting on her final makeup and getting into her dress then leave after we’ve captured some of the open dance party. We understand that not all weddings are the same so please just get in touch. We’ve also photographed elopements lasting 2-3 hours, and 4 hour brunch weddings. Just email us if you have something out of the ordinary.

Q: Do I have to book you for my wedding to do an engagement session with you?

Not at all, we offer engagement sessions separately if this is something that interests you.

Q: How many photos will I get?

This depends entirely on your day. We highly recommend creating a timeline with us to ensure everything is covered and to set the expectations. We typically deliver around 60-100 images for every hour we shoot. Sometimes more. Contact us for more information and we’ll talk about details!

Q: Will we keep copies of the digital images?

Yes! FOR-EV-ER! Weddings include high resolution digital images on a USB flash drive. We understand, its what we wanted most after our wedding.

Q: We totally love your work and want to book you for our wedding! What would my next step be?

First, fill out our contact form and we will let you know if we are available for your date. After that, we can meet up/skype/talk on the phone/email to ensure we are a good fit for each other. We believe that choosing the photographer for your big day is very important and we want to make sure we share the same vision of storytelling. Once we’ve figured that out, to lock in your date a signed contract and 30% deposit are required. We book on a first come, first serve basis. Please keep in mind that we limit the amount of weddings that we photograph each year and dates are very limited

Q: Lastly, Do you to travel for weddings!?

Yes! It’s one of our favorite things to do. We are based in Plymouth, MI about half way between Detroit and Ann Arbor. We love to travel, and have no problem doing so! We also have a cabin in northern lower Michigan, between Cheboygan and Rogers City and love shooting “up north”. For distances beyond a two hour drive, we can negotiate the cost for travel. Typically it’s just the cost of a hotel for the night before and the night of your wedding. For out of state, or destination weddings, we ask for assistance covering some of the travel costs. If your circumstances are interesting, just let us know and we can try to figure something out
